§ 2.12.040. Salary increase or decrease.

Subsequent changes in salaries of members of the city council shall be governed by Section 36516 of the Government Code of the state of California.

The population of the city shall be determined by the latest estimate of the California Department of Finance. Any salary which is decreased or increased because of a more recent population survey shall be payable only after one or more members of the council become eligible therefor by virtue of beginning a new term of office following the next succeeding general municipal election held in the city.
